Patrons Meet Garden Designer – The Young People's Counselling Service

Dream of sensory garden for local charity becomes a reality . Today Annabelle and Warwick Davis had the pleasure to meet Artist and Garden Creator Jeni Cairns. Meeting at the Annabelle Davis centre (ADC), named after Patron Annabelle, who plays Sasha in CBBC show the Dumping Ground. The ADC is home to local charity The Young Peoples Counselling Service (YPCS) a Child and Family Mental Health Hub, which provides Counselling, Play therapy, Wellbeing groups and Family support groups in the North Cambs and Fenland area. The centre which opened in September 2020, was missing that final touch, thanks to Hunts DC and Persimmon Homes East Mids the dream has become a reality, Jeni was able to share her inspiration for the garden with patrons Warwick and Annabelle and Vice Chair of YPCS Michelle Lay. Now the centre can offer Face to Face sessions again, the garden can now also be used by the YPCS team, clients, and their families as an therapeutic area to relax between sessions or spend time before leaving the centre. Our patrons Warwick and Annabelle Davis also met with artist and garden designer Jeni Cairns, who designed our stunning sensory garden. This healing space can be used by families between sessions and is such a wonderful addition to the Annabelle Davis Centre.
